# Current website captures — October 5, 2026

The 28 active images in `screenshots.json` are genuine native Retina window captures of the installed, signed **Ingest 0.9.5 (build 41)**, matching release source commit `661216f`. They replace every active app screenshot. Earlier images and recordings remain available at their original URLs, with their historical manifest entries and provenance below.

The existing public photography was reused: 26 Wedding, 40 Landscapes, 39 Personal, 25 Headshots, and 25 Events RAW photographs from Signature Edits. License, original filename, source URL, camera, demo filename, and SHA-256 evidence remain in `raw-samples.json`. No new photography or personal library was introduced. The app used isolated state at `/Users/Shared/Ingest Website 0.9.5/Library` and the existing public Photo Library. All 155 original RAW hashes were verified after the session; the disposable landscape XMP sidecar used for Metadata Assist was restored from its pre-session copy.

Stills were captured with `screencapture -x -o -a -l WINDOW_ID capture.png`, without cursor or window shadow. PNGs were encoded as lossless WebP without resizing or compositing; decoded pixel equality was checked. Individual physical dimensions, half-size display limits, and original PNG hashes are in the manifest. Most Browse and Review captures are 2882 × 1592; Settings and independent windows have their own native dimensions. Every image was visually inspected. Captures show no personal paths, accounts, or private photographs. Masters are retained locally under `/Users/Shared/Ingest Website 0.9.5/Captures`, outside the website repository.

The five workspace setups and their matching options are illustrative settings, not built-in presets. Photo Work and Photo Backup are the existing disposable APFS demo volumes on the same host storage; they illustrate destination controls, **not resilient backup storage**. The website tells readers to use separate physical drives for the second copy. Example job names and dates describe organization; RAW capture dates remain intact. No actual import, Organize move, or Social Export was executed.

`metadata-assist-gps-0.9.5.mp4` and `.webm` encode the same continuous 30-second, silent, 24 fps native recording. A 3106 × 1816 window recording was trimmed to the observed 2882 × 1592 content bounds (`crop=2882:1592:112:76`), and only its final fractional second was removed. There is no retiming, reconstructed interface, fake typing, or instructional overlay. The native macOS recording indicator remains visible. The user-visible sequence enters a caption and keywords, sets coordinates 37.746498, -119.584433, views the map, reviews the operations, and clicks Apply. The saved confirmation appears at the end. This writes only the disposable sample's metadata. The sample is `Landscapes/Mountain Light/002-Mountain-Light.CR2` (Canon EOS 6D), SHA-256 `660485046224b0cad01d3645eb783c8e0ec5c7cc4228358055a293fa02f8489a`. The poster is a separate lossless current-interface capture, `metadata-assist-dark-0.9.5-retina.webp`. Video checksums, codecs, dimensions, and poster associations are recorded in the manifest.

`share-0.9.5.png` is dedicated website share artwork, rendered from the established colors and bundled Archivo font by `scripts/build_ingest_social.py`. It is typography, not an app screenshot.

# Historical capture records

## Interactive setups and Metadata Assist recording — September 26, 2026

Five `workspace-*-setup-dark-0.9.4.2-retina.webp` files show genuine signed Ingest 0.9.4.2 (36) Settings windows. Each is 2056 × 2580 physical pixels (1028 × 1290 logical), captured with `screencapture -x -o -a -l` and encoded as lossless WebP with decoded pixel equality checked against its PNG. No UI was composited or retouched. Workspaces use the exact Wedding, Landscapes, Personal, Headshots, and Events job/folder/naming examples on the homepage. Originals is the receiving child folder; the other child folders are empty placeholders for later editor outputs or chosen copies. No ingest or editor operation was performed.

Photo Work and Photo Backup are two separately mounted disposable APFS disk images used to populate native destination controls. They share the host’s physical storage and are **not a resilient backup**. The public examples instruct readers to use separate physical drives and arrange off-site/catalog protection separately. Names and September 26 job dates are fictional organization examples; they do not alter original RAW capture dates. The isolated state is `/Users/Shared/Ingest Demo/Library`; photography is under `/Users/Shared/Ingest Demo/Photo Library`. No personal library or account appears.

`metadata-assist-demo-0.9.4.2.mp4` (H.264) and `.webm` (VP9) contain the same continuous 31-second silent recording of the actual released app at 2880 × 1800, 24 fps. Native `screencapture -v -V 60 -l` produced a 3104 × 2024 master. Encoding trims only the surrounding window shadow to the observed native bounds (`crop=2880:1800:112:76`) and ends the take at 31 seconds. There is no retiming, fake typing, compositing, instructional overlay, or reconstructed UI. The macOS recording indicator is part of the genuine captured window. The result remains visible for more than three seconds. The lossless poster `metadata-assist-result-dark-0.9.4.2-retina.webp` is a separate native 2x capture of that saved state.

The selected Yosemite sample is `Landscapes/Mountain Light/002-Mountain-Light.CR2`, originally `signature edit free raws - IMG_2031.CR2`, Canon EOS 6D. SHA-256: `660485046224b0cad01d3645eb783c8e0ec5c7cc4228358055a293fa02f8489a`. Its exact download URL and Signature Edits commercial-use license are in `raw-samples.json`. All 155 source RAW hashes were reverified after recording and match the manifest. Only its disposable XMP sidecar changed: the starting caption was Yosemite; Metadata Assist added IPTC Place Shown Yosemite Valley and keywords landscape, waterfall, Yosemite, and replaced the caption with Waterfall in Yosemite Valley. The semicolon picker labels Location as IPTC Place Shown. GPS was not edited. An empty malformed keyword element left by rehearsal was removed from the fixture before the final take; the final Apply succeeded and the actual inspector displayed all saved values.

Capture masters, sidecar evidence, and contact sheets were retained locally in `/tmp/ingest-interactive/` and `/tmp/ingest-polished/captures/`. Video hashes, codecs, duration, dimensions, and poster associations are recorded in `screenshots.json`. The older Metadata Assist and Workspaces stills remain active in the guide/getting-started pages; historical captures retain their existing archive entries and URLs.

# Current dark-mode demo library — September 26, 2026

All 19 active images in `screenshots.json` are genuine native Retina window captures from signed and notarized **Ingest 0.9.4.2 (36)** in dark appearance. The isolated demo library lives outside the home directory, under `/Users/Shared/Ingest Demo`; its sidebar root is **Photo Library**. No personal account or home-directory paths appear in these captures.

Photography comes from the [Signature Edits public RAW library](https://www.signatureedits.com/free-raw-photos/), under its [Free RAW License Terms](https://www.signatureedits.com/free-raw-license-terms/), reviewed on September 26, 2026. Those terms permit commercial website use. Photography belongs to Signature Edits and its contributing photographers; it is not represented as work by Ingest's developer. The homepage credits the source. `raw-samples.json` records the source and license links, credited original filename, camera, format, SHA-256 checksum, and demonstration filename for every selected RAW. The website distributes screenshots, not the original RAW library.

The collection contains 26 classic wedding photographs (white gowns, suits, veils, ceremony, reception, and detail photographs), 40 landscapes, 39 personal photographs, 25 professional portraits (men and women in ordinary clothing, with neutral poses), and 25 live music, reception, and community event photographs. These are separate photographs, not repeated filler or camera-test charts. Their original RAW formats and camera metadata were checked with ExifTool, including CFA checks for DNG files. Original capture dates are preserved; recent-folder order reflects demo organization. Wedding Selects, Mountain Light, Everyday Stories, Studio Portraits, and Event Highlights are neutral demonstration folders.

The five hero slides demonstrate Grid (Wedding), Split with histogram and camera information (Landscapes), Focus with filmstrip (Personal), Grid (Headshots), and Preview with two sharp face close-ups (Events). Headshots and Events have their own RAW sets and workspace filing presets. The original Landscapes and Personal hero captures are archived.

Capture command: `screencapture -x -o -a -l WINDOW_ID capture.png`. PNGs were exported as lossless WebP with decoded pixel equality verified. Main windows are 1440 × 900 logical pixels / 2880 × 1800 physical pixels; the Settings window is 1029 × 1290 / 2058 × 2580. No resizing, retouching, compositing, shadow, or cursor was added. A contact sheet and individual windows were reviewed for privacy, loading states, and framing. Metadata demonstrations use disposable copies and XMP sidecars; final fixture originals were restored where necessary and all 155 source checksums verified. Destination folders are disposable; no real client imports were performed.

The earlier synthetic bracket illustration was retired instead of presenting fabricated exposure metadata as genuine RAW camera data. The naming guide now shows the real Wedding destination preview. Earlier captures are retained under `archivedImages` at their original URLs and are not used on active pages.

## 0.9.2 walkthrough refresh

`walkthrough-ingest-0.9.2.webp`, `walkthrough-metadata-0.9.2.webp`, and `walkthrough-workspaces-0.9.2.webp` are native SwiftUI view captures from source `9a36b07` using the opt-in FeatureTourTests capture harness and a disposable demo library. Light appearance, native 2× backing pixels, lossless PNG-to-WebP encoding with pixel equality verified; no resizing or visual edits. These are source-build captures, not signed-release window captures. Metadata is staged only; no real photo writes or imports were performed. Demo landscapes reuse the credited photographs below.

# Ingest assets

Icon: identical to the native Ingest AppIcon asset.

## Historical documentation captures

Screenshots refreshed September 20, 2026 from the signed Ingest 0.2.1 (build 6) release.
These are real, unretouched app captures, encoded as WebP. Versioned image URLs prevent stale browser caches; earlier image paths serve the same refreshed captures. A separate temporary library
and a read-only disk image contain 24 demonstration JPEGs with synthetic camera EXIF.
No personal or client photographs are included. The destination capture follows an actual
verified ingest. Settings examples use disposable demonstration preferences.

The repeated landscape frames are demonstration exposure variants used to exercise bracket
stacking. Camera details are synthetic fixture metadata, not claims about the original photographs.

## RAW histogram development capture

`raw-histogram-0.6.0-retina.webp` is an unretouched native 2× window capture of the Ingest 0.6.0 (12) release build. It shows the actual RAW histogram and LibRaw-rendered preview beside the largest embedded JPEG from the same Canon EOS R5 file. It is not a simulated exposure comparison. The capture excludes the cursor and window shadow and is encoded losslessly without resizing.

The public demonstration RAW is Benjamin Grimm-Lebsanft’s CC0 Canon EOS R5 sample, raw.pixls.us entry 4694: https://raw.pixls.us/getfile.php/4694/nice/Canon%20-%20EOS%20R5%20-%203%3A2.CR3 . The original’s metadata credits the creator and states CC0; the camera fixture manifest records the same license. SHA-256: `21430c36387efe65bd09ac0fcd724bfd959d93dd391ec811a1b741c8663becb5`. A disposable local copy was used with an isolated app library; no personal or client photographs are shown.

## Landing page — Ingest 0.8.5 (27)

Captured September 24, 2026 from the signed, notarized 0.8.5 release, in a separate temporary library using `INGEST_TEST_LIBRARY`. The twelve `*-0.8.5-retina.webp` files are genuine native window captures, without the cursor or window shadow. They retain native 2× Retina pixels; exact capture dimensions and logical display limits are recorded per image in `screenshots.json`. WebP encoding is lossless, with decoded RGBA pixels verified against each original PNG. No UI elements or photographic pixels were composited into the screenshots.

The download was verified before changing website links: Developer ID signature and Gatekeeper notarization checks passed. The DMG SHA-256 matches the public release asset digest: `5382709993d8863d7b8c8991f82aee7b7ba19935766c9bc25edc003d136d1330` (22,025,836 bytes). The Sparkle feed was left unchanged.

All photographs are public licensed demonstration material. Additional Unsplash photographs are used under the [Unsplash License](https://unsplash.com/license), checked at capture time:

- Francesca Tosolini — [Living room interior](https://unsplash.com/photos/living-room-interior-6japTIjUQoI)

- Gary Bendig — [Deer](https://unsplash.com/photos/deer-looking-up-at-leaf-at-daytime-n72mzEO_3ds)

Personal and coastal landscape examples reuse the credited Paul Jarvis photographs above. The RAW viewer uses the unchanged CC0 Canon EOS R5 sample credited above; its SHA-256 was reverified. JPEG stock photographs are not presented as RAW samples.

Workspaces are example configurations. The real estate example preserves Brian’s address-based filename/folder tokens and originals/autohdr/final_exports structure, with private paths and client information replaced by temporary demo destinations and an illustrative address. Its two three-frame exposure stacks use exact-pixel copies of the stock interiors with synthetic exposure and capture-time metadata, solely to demonstrate grouping; they are not genuine camera bracket sequences or HDR outputs. Wedding keeper-review examples include an exact duplicate photograph and synthetic capture-time metadata. No quality or speed benchmark is implied.

Backup destinations are disposable directories demonstrating the configuration, not independent physical backup media. No real ingest or organization operation was run for these previews. Apple Photos was disabled in the isolated library; the page correctly describes its integration as a global setting, separately from workspace-specific Social Export visibility. No personal photo library or client imagery is included.

The site-wide documentation refresh uses the same signed 0.8.5 capture set. Older captures have been removed from active pages and retained at their existing URLs, with dimensions in `archivedImages` in the manifest. Their image integrity remains checked; active pages may only reference current captures.

## Ingest 0.9.0 focused captures — September 25, 2026

Five native Retina window captures from the signed, notarized 0.9.0 (29) release: `browse`, `workspaces`, `ingest`, `palette`, and `metadata-assist` with the `-0.9.0-retina.webp` suffix. The app used an isolated disposable demo library. No personal photographs, cards, or private paths are shown. Import destinations are demonstration folders; this is a setup view, not a claim of a completed backup.

Captured using `screencapture -x -o -a -l WINDOW_ID`, then encoded with `cwebp -lossless` without cropping, resizing, or compositing. Main windows: 2402 × 1646 pixels (1201 × 823 points). Settings: 1960 × 1400 pixels (980 × 700 points). Source PNGs and demo state remain local.

## Ingest 0.9.2 (32) — varied collection refresh

Six homepage screenshots (`browse`, `workspaces`, `ingest`, `palette`, `metadata-assist`, and `assistance`, with `-0.9.2-retina.webp`) are native window captures from the signed, notarized release build 32. Captured September 25, 2026 using `screencapture -x -o -a -l`, without the cursor, window shadow, desktop, menu bar, or sharing overlays. Encoded with `cwebp -lossless -exact`; decoded RGBA pixels were checked against every original PNG. No resizing, compositing, fades, or photo edits were applied. Settings uses a taller native window to keep the destination tree and filename controls readable.

The isolated library contains 72 distinct, free Unsplash photographs, 12 per category. Visible collection names are Portfolio, Landscapes, Wildlife, Cityscapes, Coffee Shops, Weddings, and Birthdays. EOS R5 is a disposable ExFAT disk image with a camera-style DCIM folder, not a physical card. Primary and backup paths are disposable local folders, not independent backup devices. Metadata is staged only; keeper suggestions await approval, and no tags were applied. No personal or client photos are included. Photography is used under the [Unsplash License](https://unsplash.com/license); premium/Unsplash+ search results were excluded.

## Ingest 0.9.2 (32) — complete documentation refresh

All active documentation screenshots now use the same signed and notarized build 32 as the homepage. The eleven additional native window captures are workspace-personal, workspace-real-estate, workspace-wedding, workspace-wildlife, organize, command-crop, command-workspaces, social-workspace, copy-metadata, paste-metadata, and shoot-details (each suffixed -0.9.2-retina.webp). All are 2428 × 1622, captured without cursor, shadow, desktop, menu bar, or sharing overlays. Lossless WebP decoding matches each original PNG pixel for pixel. No fades, resizing, or compositing were applied. The old documentation and source-view assets are archived and no longer linked by HTML.

The photos reuse the 72-image public collection credited above. Wedding Preview includes the app’s face close-ups. Social Export shows the actual app canvas with a white border and solid-color background; no export was performed. The EOS R5 source remains a disposable disk image. Personal shows an illustrative fixed date folder, 2026-09-20, since the downloaded photos do not carry their original capture dates. Destination folders are disposable local paths, not separate physical backup devices.

For Organize, category keywords were added only to disposable copies of the 72 photographs in Photo Archive, producing six groups of twelve and a group/sequence filename preview. No organize operation was applied. Copy/Paste Metadata was exercised only on the twelve disposable wedding copies; the final shared caption is “Moments from a wedding celebration.” with wedding and celebration keywords. The import shoot-details capture stages illustrative text only and was canceled. Photographic pixels were not changed by these metadata fixtures.

Real Estate uses two previously credited public interiors by Francesca Tosolini: [living room](https://unsplash.com/photos/living-room-interior-6japTIjUQoI) and [fireplace](https://unsplash.com/photos/a-living-room-filled-with-furniture-and-a-fire-place-4TlrOY2IyUA). Each image has three disposable copies with synthetic camera, timestamp, shutter-speed, and −2/0/+2 exposure metadata so the real app displays two bracket stacks. They are not genuine bracket exposures. The selected 123 Maple Ln address is an illustrative naming example and does not identify the photographed property. No import was performed.

## Solo marketing visuals — September 25, 2026

Illustrated metaphor art and cropped mode thumbs for the trimmed Ingest homepage. Not documentary desk photos or fake interactive UI.

- `card-to-folders-filmstrip.webp` — drawn SD/CF card, quiet folder tree, thin path of light. Metaphor only; not an Ingest window.
- `setup-once-before.webp` / `setup-once-after.webp` — drawn before/after panels for the setup-once scrubber (messy rename pile vs workspace that sticks).
- `mode-ingest.webp`, `mode-cull.webp`, `mode-browse.webp`, `mode-organize.webp` — crops from existing site screenshots `ingest-0.9.2-retina.webp`, `grid-cull-0.8.0-retina.webp`, `browse-0.9.2-retina.webp`, and `organize-0.9.2-retina.webp`. No new captures.

Regenerate with `python3 scripts/build_ingest_solo_visuals.py`.

## Genuine RAW collection — September 26, 2026

The `*-raw-0.9.4.2-retina.webp` captures show signed, notarized Ingest 0.9.4.2 (36) with an isolated collection of **74 genuine RAW files**, approximately 2 GB. Every sample is listed as CC0 in the [raw.pixls.us repository](https://raw.pixls.us/), checked September 26, 2026. `raw-samples.json` records each original download URL, camera, license, and SHA-256. All source hashes were verified before use. Formats include ARW, CR2, CR3, DNG, FFF, NEF, NRW, ORF, PEF, RAF, RW2, and RWL. These are downloaded camera RAW samples, not renamed or converted stock JPEGs.

The local collection is `~/Pictures/Ingest Website RAW/Public RAW`. Recreate it with `python3 scripts/fetch_ingest_raw_samples.py /path/to/Public-RAW`. Keep the RAW files outside `site/`; the website serves native app captures as lossless WebP. The new collection replaces the Unsplash examples in Browse, Metadata Assist, the general import example, wildlife Preview, Organize, Social Export, shoot details, and three Command Palette captures. The older wedding, real-estate, copy/paste metadata, and workspace-settings captures retain their existing provenance above.

Capture procedure: launch `/Applications/Ingest.app/Contents/MacOS/Ingest` with a separate `INGEST_TEST_LIBRARY`, choose Light appearance, and capture the native window using `screencapture -x -o -a -l WINDOW_ID`. Each capture is 2808 × 1668 physical pixels (1404 × 834 logical pixels). Encode lossless WebP without resizing; verify decoded RGBA pixels against the original PNG. No UI or photo pixels were retouched or composited. Source PNGs and isolated app state are in `/tmp/ingest-raw-site-20260926/` during this session.

- Browse and the command examples show the real collection, with a Hasselblad X1D II 50C landscape selected.
- Metadata Assist stages landscape keywords and a caption. Shoot details stages a generic collection caption and keywords. Both drafts were canceled; no metadata was written to the originals.
- The general import example previews two disposable local destinations (`Demo Import` and `Demo Backup`) with a capture-date folder template. They are demonstration paths on the same disk, not separate backup devices. No ingest was performed.
- Wildlife Preview shows the public Canon EOS 7D Mark II DNG sample (entry 7023), depicting ducks on water.
- Organize previews groups by actual RAW file extension. No file organization was applied.
- Social Export shows a project using the Hasselblad RAW sample with a white border and automatic photographic background. No export was performed.
- The new RAW comparison figure uses Canon EOS R5 CR3 entry 4694: Apple's neutral RAW rendering and the embedded camera JPEG from the same original. It is not a simulated exposure comparison. The displayed inspector histogram is the release's visible tone histogram; this capture documents the side-by-side previews.

Superseded 0.9.2 captures remain in `archivedImages` at their original URLs. New filenames prevent cached JPEG-based screenshots from persisting on refreshed pages.

### GPS Metadata Assist and workspace option captures — September 26, 2026

`metadata-assist-gps-0.9.4.2.mp4` and `.webm` replace the original place-name demonstration. Recorded directly from signed Ingest 0.9.4.2 (36) with `INGEST_TEST_LIBRARY=/Users/Shared/Ingest Demo/Library`. Continuous 34-second take, beginning with Metadata Assist open; only leading idle time and the native window shadow were trimmed. Native 2880 × 1592 pixels, silent, 24 fps, no speed changes, retouching, overlays, or reconstructed interface. The separate poster is a native lossless Retina window capture.

The selected RAW is `002-Mountain-Light.CR2`, originally `signature edit free raws - IMG_2031.CR2`, SHA-256 `660485046224b0cad01d3645eb783c8e0ec5c7cc4228358055a293fa02f8489a`. Original RAW and licensing provenance remain in `raw-samples.json`. The demonstration selects Yosemite Valley Welcome Center (37.746498, -119.584433) as an illustrative GPS example, not a claim about the photographer’s precise capture position. Caption, keywords, GPS, and place details were written to the demo XMP sidecar; original RAW camera metadata and bytes remain unchanged.

Five `workspace-*-options-dark-0.9.4.2-retina.webp` files are genuine 2058 × 2580 native Settings captures, displayed at no more than 1029 × 1290. Wedding: Grid, capture time, bursts, paired RAW+JPEG. Landscapes: Split, scene grouping, camera filenames. Personal: Organize hidden, Apple Photos enabled per workspace. Headshots: photo pairs and Skip video. Events: enabled `Event-caption-codes.tsv` and reload-on-change, with fictional event/venue/team codes in the isolated demo folder. Settings captures are lossless with decoded pixels verified against their native PNG sources. No personal account or home path is visible.

The previous video encodings and poster remain archived in `screenshots.json` without active page references. Workspace destination captures remain available in the expandable folder/backup examples. Native source verification: PresetEditor, MetadataTemplateEditor, and ScratchPad confirm workspace options, optional IPTC fields, local `.ingesttemplate` import/export, and TSV caption-code reload. TSV code lookup and XMP photograph metadata are distinct; the website does not promise automatic cloud synchronization.
