Apple Photos, integrated and optional

Browse the System Photo Library, favorites, ordinary albums, and Unfiled and Unreviewed inboxes. Search albums, preview photos, and review selections with the keyboard.
Create and organize albums and folders, file photos into several albums, adjust order, and preview additive grouping recipes before applying them.
Edit native favorites, dates, and locations. Native captions, keywords, and ratings are available on macOS 27; earlier systems retain local ratings. Tags, colors, and review marks stay local.
Send JPEGs or JPEG companions from file workflows through a reviewed import sheet, with explicit RAW options and content receipts that reuse confirmed imports. Interrupted submissions require reconciliation or an intentional retry.
Bring Photos selections into Social Export using retained copies of the current rendered images, and send completed Social JPEGs back to Photos.
Keep Apple Photos integration on by default, or turn it off in Settings → General to hide its source, commands, and actions. Permission is requested when connecting or sending.
Keep album removal separate from confirmed library deletion. Photos changes follow your iCloud settings.

This remains a working beta. Shared Album publishing, Smart Album rule editing, and continuous rule synchronization are not included. Read the Photos guide and updated privacy details.
