Select on mouse-down in the native Photos grid and filmstrip, with familiar keyboard navigation and Grid, Preview, and Split views.
Reuse recently viewed previews and show available image detail while higher-quality or iCloud images load.
Load inspector details independently, preload nearby thumbnails, and avoid repeating whole-library work for routine Photos changes.
Improve large-library browsing, memory management, and Photos menu availability.

Apple Photos remains on by default, with a switch in Settings → General. The Fujifilm recipe improvements from 0.7.4 and 0.7.5 are included.

The first full-library filename/keyword search can still take time while metadata is read. Read the Photos guide.
