Apple Photos availability

Native caption, keyword, and rating edits require macOS 27. Earlier supported versions keep Photos ratings local and provide native favorites, dates, and locations. Cloud-only media needs a working connection to Apple Photos. Offline iCloud transfers, switching System Photo Libraries, and playback across all Live Photo and video formats remain beta validation areas. Use Import History to review interrupted or uncertain imports before retrying.
