Messages or Email sharing did not work

The wrong files are included

Use Send Photos for the selected visible photos. Send Folder ignores the grid selection and filter. Cards, volume roots, and sources with subfolders enabled include nested media. Check the count and size before continuing.

A draft does not open

Confirm that Messages or your email app is set up. Finish the current sharing draft before starting another from the same tab. For multiple files, retry with Create ZIP. If preparation fails, check that the source drive is connected and the files are readable.

The attachment is too large or will not preview

File sharing preserves the existing format, including RAW files. ZIP packages files together; it does not resize photos or guarantee a smaller attachment. Share fewer files or prepare smaller JPEGs for a recipient who needs them. Attachment limits depend on the receiving service.

Apple Photos videos cannot be shared

This sharing path supports still images from Apple Photos. Use Photos itself for videos. Read the sharing guide →
