Select still photos in Browse or Apple Photos and choose File → Send to Decks…, search for it in ⌘K, use the photo or group context menu, or press ⇧⌘E. Photos are sent in visible order. Video selections are not supported.
Choose Original files or JPEG copies. JPEG copies offer dimensions, quality, file-size, sharpening, and metadata choices, with a prepared count and size before sending. Some RAW conversions use an embedded preview or companion JPEG and may contain less detail; the sheet explains this before sending.
Open in Decks for Mac uses an installed compatible Mac app. Send via iCloud makes the transfer available in Incoming Photos in Decks on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. AirDrop or Share… uses the system sharing sheet. Decks waits for you to choose New Project or Existing Project; Later keeps the transfer in Incoming Photos.
iCloud transfers require iCloud sign-in and a compatible Decks version. Ingest keeps a saved transfer queue with status, retry, and completion checks. This is an explicit photo transfer, separate from Ingest workspace settings. Transfer storage and privacy →
The transfer contains independent photo copies with integrity checks. Decks retains its own media, so moving the originals later does not break the received project. Cloud-only Apple Photos images may need downloading before the transfer is ready. Receiving requires a Decks version that supports Ingest handoffs.
Starting with Ingest 0.9.6, the built-in Social Export editor is removed. Ordinary JPEG export and crop controls remain in Ingest. Existing original photos, previous exports, and saved photo data are preserved; this change does not automatically convert old Social Export projects into Decks projects.
